As a wedding planner for more than 15 years, this was the first wedding I had ever planned in just 10 weeks! It was a whirlwind, it was SO much fun, and on that cold, crisp & sunny December day, Lindsay & Jarrett walked into the new year as husband and wife.
How It Started
After getting ready at the Westley Hotel in Calgary, AB with their nearest & dearest, they opted for a private first look in downtown Calgary, followed by gorgeous, snowy photos along the Bow River, all while braving sub-zero temperatures the entire day. Returning to the cozy walls of Fonda Fora restaurant next door, the restaurant's vibrant atmosphere was the perfect backdrop for an intimate celebration, where friends and family gathered to witness the couple exchange vows in front of a stunning white floral backdrop in a ceremony officiated by the bride's brother. Then ... it was time to really celebrate!
How It Ended
Despite only having 10 weeks to plan, we worked together to infuse quite a few unique and personal touches into their wedding day. From personalized maple syrup favours for each guest, to custom signage, to a family-style Mexican feast (followed by a late night snack of chicken wings!), their wedding truly reflected their personalities & their love story. The warm and inviting atmosphere we created at Fonda Fora truly set the stage for a winter wonderland wedding, including long guest tables adorned with dozens of candles, custom menus, gold table numbers & simple white floral centrepieces.
The bride & groom and all their guests danced hit the dance floor all night long, stopping just long enough for a champagne toast to mark the start of a new year. It truly was an unforgettable experience filled with personalized details, heartfelt moments, and a celebration that brought everyone they loved together.
A huge THANK YOU to Hannah for making our day extra special. We pulled off the wedding of our dreams in 10 weeks and it couldn't have done this without you...seriously! You had a vision for what the day would look like long before we did and the end result was perfect. The countless hours you spent organizing, coordinating and reworking things for us was so appreciated. Thank you for being our voice of reason throughout the planning process. The entire wedding went off without a hitch and you played a major role in this. Jarrett and I felt that nothing was overlooked.
