Soak it in. Before you jump into planning, take a moment to really savour that newly-engaged joy with your partner, and to share the exciting news with your nearest and dearest.
Bling alert! Get that engagement ring insured ASAP. It's not something most couples usually think of, but it's always better safe than sorry!
Find your dream date. Grab a coffee together & sit down to discuss your dream wedding date. Or at the very least, a month or season that works best for you, if you're not ready to narrow it down to a date quite yet. But having this information will help big time when it comes to finding a venue & your favourite vendors.
It's budget time. Start a rough budget discussion with your partner, and anyone else who will be involved in contributing to the wedding. Having a budget right from the start will help you keep costs in check and avoid any surprises (and added stress) down the line.
Start a guest list. Take some time to brainstorm and begin writing down the initial list of VIPs, along with that magic number you both want to land on. Because the number of guests you invite has the BIGGEST impact on costs, with everything from the venue, to food & beverage, table decor & settings, favours and more!
